Sheer Argan is the real deal. It contains 100 % argan oil and only pure argan oil. No added fragrance, no preservatives, no other ingredients. Many argan products sold by well-known cosmetics companies claim to be all-argan but, if you scrutinize their ingredient list, you will find many additives—they are far from “pure†or “organic.†Sheer Argan needs no extra ingredients, no chemicals—that’s why our ingredient list (which is required by the FDA) says ONE ingredient—argan oil (argania spinosa in latin). Our company’s argan is USDA certified organic.
Our argan oil is a treat for the senses: slightly nutty fragrance, clear color, silky smooth application with no-greasy residue or fragrance overload. You simply apply a few drops to your skin and hair, massage it in gently and go out to face your day. Sheer Argan is very fresh. Unlike other companies’ argan products, it does not deteriorate by traveling for months on overseas ships or spending extended periods sitting on docks or in warehouses awaiting pick-up and distribution.
Our argan is cold-pressed in southern Morocco by producers we know and immediately shipped by air express to the United States where it is bottled and delivered to us in regular small shipments. It is stored in amber-colored glass bottles (not clear plastic) to protect the precious oil from sun damage and oxidation. Sheer Argan is a living, breathing, organic substance that is treated with the loving care and respect it deserves. You can’t get argan oil that’s fresher or closer to its natural source, no matter where you live or shop. That’s why you should rely on Sheer Argan as your source for beauty and good health.
My mother Rkia was born and raised in the Souss region of Morocco where Argan oil is produced. She has a lifetime of experience picking and grinding Argan nuts to extract their oil.
She’s an expert in how pure Argan oil feels looks, tastes and smells. Recently she visited me in the U.S. and I took her to the King-of-Prussia Mall near Philadelphia where we visited a high-end cosmetics store that carries a well-known line of Argan oil cosmetics. When I pointed them out to my mother, she wanted to try a sample. She was astonished and amused that this expensive store was selling so-called “pure†Argan oil because it was immediately apparent to her that the oil was not only very old but also mixed with other substances. It was not at all pure. I soon noticed that many other stores were selling Argan cosmetics. But the Argan was not pure and buyers had no idea how to distinguish authentic Argan from these adulterated oils.
Pure Argan’s scent is naturally pleasant and does not contain fragrance. With the assistance of my mother and aunts in Morocco, I am producing authentic morrocan Argan oil and importing it for U.S. customers. It’s the best Mother Nature has to offer!
